But since i have all three of the gw games and actually experienced it, i think you should just but the game, its free for play not like wow so yea and it provides hours of fun and the quests and missions are all awesome!

I bought the Guild Wars trilogy trial dvd. I already have Prophecies and Nightfall, so I wanted to try Factions. I bought Assassin and Ritualist as a secondary profession for one of my nightfall characters. When the trial is over will I be able to keep my two secondary professions? Or will they disappear? Its a really fun game, but no where near as potent as WoW if you ask me..that game destroys lives. Frankly I wouldn't recommend any of the games soley on the fact that they're amazingly addictive in a bad way.

Try meeting your friend at a key point (Examples: Dye Trader, Craftsman Corner, Skill Trainer, etc.). If that doesn't work, I'm not really sure what's wrong. Ask the actual company that created GuildWars (NC Soft) if they know what's wrong or why you can't see your friend.

It's not a good idea. Selling trial keys is against the EULA that you agreed to when installing the game. If you're caught, your account will be permabanned.
Regardless, most key sellers and buyers are scammers. There is no way to make this trade legitimately. Either your buyer gives you the gold first or you give them the keycode first. They can take it and run (and most do).
Most scammers offer to buy trial keycodes for outrageous prices. These guys are just gold sellers trying to steal your account. They will tell you that they need your account password in order to test the trial code and give you your payment.

Can your character move from Prophecies to Factions to Nightfall or does the character have to stay in one campaign?

Guild wars trial loading really slow?
I recently downloaded Guild wars trial. Created a character, thought I was good to go, but I'm stuck at the loading screen. I can sort of understand if a game of this size needs to download updates or whatever, but seriously this is a ten hour trial and after half an hour it loaded about fifteen percent.
If it continues like this I suspect I won't be doing an awful lot of playing. Anyone knows how to speed up the process?Guild wars trial loading really slow?
Note that the Guild Wars trial version is not just a demo version of the game, it's complete access to the full game for a limited period. That said, a full installation of the game can take upto 4GB of harddisk space, and part of that is downloaded the first time you access an area, so yes, if you have a slow internet connection then the download can take a long time. But the good thing is, that upgrading from the trial to the full game should then only result in the download of (small) updates (or entirely new areas that you have not visited before).
As a sidenote, in some regions there are currently routing problems reaching the guild wars servers. I don't know if this is the case in your situation, but it might just be that the download process receives a lot of timeouts, and keeps retrying.
